On this planet called Lunarias there are many mysterious
creatures, which are hidden from human eyes. People are not even aware of all
the secrets but they also do not care. They live their life carefree and their
only concern is how to survive the winter. The village, which is located at the
bottom of the hill is no different. At the entrance to the village stands a
wooden sign that says: "Welcome to the village Waldward" Many different
kinds of people live here, but like in every village there is a baker,
blacksmith, merchant and other very important professions. As soon as you enter
the village you can sense the smell of flowers. The people are good-natured and
polite. On the top of the hill there is an old castle and none of the villagers
dare to go there. Rumor has it that there is a man who does not age and that he
is must be a spirit that can not cross to the other side. All priests who have
ever served in the tiny village church would go to that castle to send the
restless spirit in the after-life. But every time they returned from their
visit they would only to tell the villagers that they must leave and to stay
away from the castle. Their face would be pale and dull. All the villagers have
decided that it is best to ignore the castle and move on with life.
When the night comes, a young man walks out to the streets. His
black hair was falling over his bright blue eyes. All the girls wanted to be in
his arms. No one knew his name, but everyone knew him. This evening he didn't
go to the pub as he usually does, but took the path that leads out of the
village. In the sky the stars were shining and it was a beautiful white moon. The
night was pretty warm for spring days. The forest was in full bloom, the
flowers spread their sweet scent. Now and then an animal would ran by, but he
did not pay attention. He knew every part of this forest, nevertheless, he
lived there for many years. He love walking through this woods because nothing
ever changed. Now and then he would spot a new plantlets that would in a few
year become a tree. Walking like that, something caught his eye. A new path?! But
how is this possible? Every time he takes a walk he goes through this part of
the wood and still he has never seen this path. What intrigued him even more
was the fact that this path did not look new but very old. He took the path and
already after a few steps he noticed that this part of the forest was somehow
Flowers had a bluish glow and he was even able to hear birds singing from
somewhere, even though they were supposed to be sleeping. He felt ...
well happy which he didn't in a long time. He stroke his face with his hand
because he felt like there was something walking on it. When he gently took the
insect and looked, he realized that he was holding a small red insect that had
black spots on it's back. That was a little ladybug. He smiled and put the
ladybug on a white flower that has never seen before. Smell of this flower was
irresistible, it had 5 long petals that were like silk to touch. The flower
glowed just a little bit but if you touched it the glow would get stronger. He
didn't stop anymore because there was something pulling him deeper into the
forest. The path spread into a big space, and in the middle of the meadow there
was a large oak tree. It looked like it grew there for centuries. In the middle
of its trunk there was a scar, probably from lightning, but it had a stately
tree. As he approached it even more, he noticed something lying in front of the
oak. He walked with quick steps but still quite cautious. When he came close
enough, he realized that there was a female person with brown hair and a little
reddish glow on her, lying beneath the tree. He crouched next to her and
noticed that she had long and pointed ears. There was a elf lying, of which he
only read about in his books. Her pointed ears were interesting. He hoped that
he would not wake her up if he only slightly touched her ear. But as soon as he
touched her she dreamily started opening her light purple eyes. When she
finally woke up and realized that there was someone unfamiliar standing by her
she shrieked, quickly got up and ran away. He did not even manage to realize
what had just happened and a young elf had already disappeared into the woods.
He was completely surprised that there were still elves and on top of that near
him. He decided that it was best to go back home because it will soon dawn.
Once again he turned to look around because he felt like he was being watched.
He smiled and started walking toward his house. He did not look forward to
returning home, but he knew that it was for his own good. The sky began to take
on orange color. Just as he entered his castle the first rays of sun appeared.
The village was painted gold and the people of the village are coming out of their
homes. Another new day. He turned away from the door and walked toward his
bedroom, which was dark and liked it that way. He took all of his clothes off
and went to wash up in his enormous bathtub. While lying the whole time he was
thinking about that elf. She awakened interest in him, he never thought he
would meet her species. After coming out of the bath, he put a towel around his
waist and walked toward his room. He threw himself on the bed and closed my
eyes. He felt how his towel slipped off of his body but he was too lazy to get
put back. He smiled and sank into sleep.
She could not go back to sleep after that meeting. Every
time she thought about it, her heart began to beat faster. The first reason was
fear of a second thrill. She met a human, but every time she remembered how he
looked like, she would feel heat coming to her cheeks. On the one hand she
wanted to meet him but the other hand she was afraid that he might hurt her.
She got distracted by a voice. She turned to see who was calling. Nearby stood
a white wolf. She was irritated because the young elf didn't notice her sooner.
"Cani I must tell you what happened!"- All excited she got up and
walked toward her friend. Before she continued, the wolf growled loudly.
"Not now! We have a serious problem! Protection of this place is
growing weak! "-She heard the voice of the wolf in her thoughts. She felt
how upset she was.
"So that is why he was able to come here." she whispered so Cani
couldn't hear her, but of course the wolf heard. In hr mind she heard how Cani
raised her voice, which she rarely did.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?! Eyllis SAY IT AGAIN!"
The elf didn't know whether to tell her everything or to keep quiet about some
parts. She felt a sharp look. She shuddered. She knew that the wolf was serious
and that it's best to say everything. She sighed and told her everything. Cani
began walking in circles which she did only while thinking.
"Now that too. And today is night with the red moon." she sighed and
then continued. "From tonight I'm with you all the time."
"But Cani, for how long will you be able to stay in this form?"
"I do not know. I was always filling my manna while you were asleep, but
now it's too dangerous for you to stay alone. I have to protect you, it's my
duty. I can not let anyone hurt you. If something happened to you I could never
forgive myself. "-she came closer to her and then proceeded. "Go to
sleep, I'll wake up as soon as the sun goes down."- she pushed the elf
with her head to make her go to sleep so that she can think in peace and create
a plan. And she felt ho she had less and less manna. She should have returned
three nights ago but something kept her away.
The elf once again turned to the wolf, but realized there
was no meaning to say anything because Cani has already lost in her thoughts.
She climbed up the tree and lied down. That tree is the center of the forest.
Its leaves were much bigger than those of other trees in the area. During the
whole year the leaves are green. In the tree's trunk, where the scar was, were
small forest squirrels settled. Sometimes when she fell asleep in the tree,
they would come and tickle her nose with their bushy tails. They love to
playing with her, and she would now and then help them in finding acorns.
Although they could not talk to her like Cani, she loved those crazy little
squirrels. She was grateful that Cani no longer forced her to sleep in the
house that she built. The small house was located deep in the woods, but she
liked sleeping on this tree. She felt safe there and she was never haunted by
nightmares, which she did not remembered after waking up. Shudders passed
through her body at the thought of it, but that feeling was soon replaced with
a picture of that man. Something on him attraction her. She closed her eyes,
hoping to see him again soon.
From his sleep he was awakened by thirst. After he grasped his neck he went to
the chamber where he held the essential thing, that he needed to survive.
Opening the door, scanning the room, he didn't find what he was looking for. He
knew what had to do. He dressed completely black and walked out of his castle.
He raised the look to the sky and spotted it. In the sky there was a
sickle-shaped moon, although it was a clear night there were no stars and the
moon was painted red. Even though at nights like this on he was stronger, so
was his thirst. He hated nights like these and he hated himself. He would
prefer to be locked up in the castle and not come out, but he knew it would not
help, and it would make things worse. He turned his head and walked toward the
village pub. The good thing about the position of the castle was that it had a
secret path that lead around the village to the rear entrance of the pub. None
of the rural people would dare to go this way because the it lead to a
very dense forest through which light does not penetrate, and the trees are so
high that they can not see the top. It also had a part where the land was steep
and rocky that you couldn't cross it normally, but for him it was no problem.
He was at the back entrance in less then a minute.
As he stepped inside he felt the heat, the music and the
smell of drink. He spotted the owner and nodded to him as a greeting. Owner was
a good friend and he allowed him to use the rear entrance. He looked around for
a bit and saw that his place was empty. Going through a bunch of people almost invisibly
and easy. Nobody even looked at him, and those who would, would immediately
forget they have. The moment he sat down next to him appeared a busty waitress
with long and wavy black hair. She looked at him, smiled and leaned over him.
"The usual?"-She asked him, and he was so thirsty, that he could not even
say yes, but just nodded. The waitress turned and disappeared into the crowd.
He had to admit that he admired her art of movement and how she was able to carry
drinks through that crowd of drunk men. Soon he saw her carrying a
glass and a bottle of red wine. She appeared at his table and poured him a
glass of wine. He drank it quickly just so he could gather a bit energy.
"Which one would you like tonight, for me to send you? We have a new girl,
but if you want one that's bit more experienced you know that I'm always at
your service. " -she almost put her breasts in his face as he spoke. He
knew that she was the best choice but he liked trying out new stuff. "Send
that girl up," he said rising-up and then went into the guest room that he
always used when he came here. He closed the door behind him, took off his coat
and sat down on the bed. Soon he heard a knock on the door.
